Soon we met other Siberian people, joined a club, started doing "doggy" activities and learning more about our dog and the breed. While our beloved Nikole was the light of our lives, we had to admit that she was not "show quality". By chance, through our association with the Lake Erie Area Siberian Husky Club (LEASH club) - I have always wondered about the choice of that name - we acquired a male from a well-known show line. One day we looked at each other and said, "Since we have a show dog, I guess we should try showing him." Sixteen years later, here we are - still showing, and breeding our own line of quality Siberians.

At Amaroq, we strive to produce puppies of exceptional quality both for the show ring and for companionship. Our dogs are registered with the AKC and show no signs of hereditary defect. We produce a limited number of litters which are bred specifically for health, temperament, and conformation.
